Minsk Cycling Club has signed a contract with two-time world junior men champion Russian Nikita Kiriltsev.
The 19-year-old athlete became a real discovery last season, winning gold medals in sprint and keirin at the Junior World Championships in Cali, Colombia in August. And in October, at the Russian Cup among men, Kiriltsev set a junior men world record in the 200-meter time trial (9.712 seconds).
The invitation of Nikita Kiriltsev was one of the stages of the course to develop and strengthen the sprint direction taken by the Belarusian team. With the help of this talented racer, Minsk Cycling Club plans to create a competitive team in the team sprint, capable of showing good results at the highest level.
