On Saturday, May 6, were held the group races of the republican competitions in memory of B.A. Bolshakov, which ended with synchronous victories of male and female racers of Minsk Cycling Club.
Women and junior women were the first to start, they were to ride a distance of 90.5 km (5 laps of 18.1 km). The winner of the race was Hanna Tserakh, who left for a solo breakaway of 20 kilometers before the finish line. Attempts by the peloton to catch up with the runaway were unsuccessful. As a result, Tserakh finished in splendid isolation, and the finish from the group was won by another Minsk Cycling Club racer Anhelina Krasko. The third place went to the representative of Mogilev region Anastasiya Kolesava.
Among junior women, Palina Konrad (Minsk Cycling Club) took second place.
The men's race of 126.7 km (7 laps of 18.1 km) turned out to be interesting. There were many attacks, breakaways and pursuit groups.
The composition of the group of leaders during the race changed several times. On the last lap, three racers remained ahead: Yauhen Sobal, Yauheni Karaliok, Aliaksandr Sychuhou. Competing in the sprint with Karaliok was difficult for the rivals. So he quite predictably and deservedly won. Sobal finished second. And Sychuhou closed the top three.
