The starting stage of the Tour of Antalya multi-day cycling race ended with a mass sprint, in which finisher from Minsk Yauheni Karaliok was 20th.

The race started in the ancient city of Side. The racers had to drive 144.5 km, during which two "gaps", 3rd category mountain points and a strong side wind awaited them throughout the entire distance.

The latter circumstance seriously complicated life not only for the peloton, but also for the breakaway, which, although gained distance, could not create a big gap. As a result, the whole group arrived in Antalya. But there was a serious massed fall at the turn before the finish line, which significantly affected the plans of many teams.

Minsk Cycling Club sprinter Yauheni Karaliok stayed in the group of leaders and managed to pass the turn before the massed fall, but without support of his partners he could not finish higher than the 20th place.

Other racers of Minsk Cycling Club showed the following results at the stage:

  1. Vasili Strokau Строков (-)
  2. Dzianis Mazur (-)
  3. Yauhen Sobal (-)
  4. Mikhail Shemetau (-)
  5. Stanislau Bazhkou (2:18)
  6. Vasili Bialiauski (3:11)

In the general classification, after the first stage, Karaliok had the best result - 21st place, 10 seconds behind the leader.
