Champion of Belarus Yauhen Sobal finished in the top 10 of the Grand Prix Alanya in Turkey, which opened the competition program of Minsk Cycling Club continental team in 2021, and earned the first rating points for the club in the new season.

The current edition of the Turkish one-day race has gathered an extremely large and representative composition of participants - 29 teams and about 170 riders from all over the world. The competition was as high as never before, but Minsk Cycling Club representatives did not get lost in this company.

Sports director Aliaksandr Kuchynski presented the following line-up at the Grand Prix Alanya: Yauhen Sobal, Yauheni Karaliok, Branislau Samoilau, Siarhei Papok, Vasili Bialiauski, Aliaksandr Piasetski.

The organizers prepared for the participants a distance of 147.8 km with a start and finish in Alanya.

Italian Davide Gabburo (Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè) won the Grand Prix Alanya, leaving behind Filippo Colombo of the Swiss national team in the final sprint. Third was another Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè representative, Alessandro Tonelli, who won the finish from a group of six rider, which finished almost a minute later.

The best of Minsk Cycling Club riders was Yuahen Sobal, who came in the next group and closed the top ten. His teammate Branislau Samoilau (16) was also in the top 20.

The rest of Minsk Cycling Club riders had the following results: Yauheni Karaliok (31), Aliaksandr Piasetski (65), Siarhei Papok and Vasili Bialiauski did not finish.

Two more Belarusian teams toed the starting line of the Grand Prix Alanya. Mikhail Shemetau (33), Stanislau Bazhkou, Mark Grinkevich,

Uladzislau Sauchyts, Artsem Kudravets, Dzianis Marchuk (all - DNF) played for the national team of Belarus. BelAZ team was represented by Kanstantsin Bialiauski (20), Raman Romanau (51), Dzianis Mazur (57), Kiryl Prymakou (59), Kiryl Kavaliou (66), Tsikhan Shchamialeu (67).

On February 7, the racing program of Minsk Cycling Club will be continued by the Grand Prix Gazipasa with a length of 156 kilometers.
