The first day of Belarus Open Track Cycling Championship was rich in medals and records for the riders of Minsk Cycling Club.

The competition opened with individual events - pursuit and time trial. And already during the morning qualification it became obvious that the racers were very serious-minded. The men's races ended with a victory and a new national record (4.11,044) for Yauheni Karaliok. And in the women's qualification perfectly performed Nastassia Kiptsikava, who showed the best time and also updated the national record (3.26,414).

The evening session began with the time trial finals. In the women's 50-meter race, the fastest was a representative of the national team, Varvara Basiakova (35, 174). Silver and bronze went to Minsk Cycling Club racres Kseniya Shynkarenka (37,562) and Aryna Starovoitova (38,568). The men's 1 km race brought victory and a new Belarus record (1.00,565) to the national team racer Artsiom Zaitsau. Second and third places in this event went to the athletes of Minsk Cycling Club Nikita Kiriltsev (1.03,774) and Aliaksandr Hlova (1.03,841).

The finals in the individual pursuit brought Minsk Cycling Club three more medals. Including the victory of Nastassia Kiptsikava, who was ahead of teammate Hanna Tserakh in the 3 km race. In the race for third place, national team racer Karalina Biruk caught up with the representative of Minsk Cycling Club, Iryna Chuyankova, and won bronze.

The men's final was a real highlight of the first day of competition. Yauheni Karaliok and Raman Tsishkou demonstrated amazing enthusiasm for victory throughout the entire 4 km distance. To the last  it was not clear who would become the champion. At the finish line, the rivals were separated by less than a second. In favor of Tsishkou. The final for bronze between two national team racers ended with the victory of Dzianis Mazur, who was faster than Raman Ramanau.

Thus, according to the results of the first day of the championship, Minsk Cycling Club has seven medals and two records. Not a bad start.
