A well-known Russian specialist Aleksey Markov will be responsible for the track training of Minsk Cycling Club racers.

When he was an athlete, Markov left a noticeable mark in world cycling. He successfully performed on the road and on the track, but his most significant achievements are still related to track disciplines: three-time Olympic medalist, multiple world championship medalist, European champion, winner of the World Cup.

At the end of his career, Aleksey Markov switched to coaching, in which he productively uses his vast experience.

Minsk Cycling Club is optimistic about the prospects for cooperation with the 43-year-old trainer.

“Our club has strong track athletes, but we are well aware that we need to think about the future and intensify work with juniors and unders. Especially in tempo events. Aleksey Markov was a well-known track racer, he managed to establish himself well as a coach. With his help, we expect to achieve high results in individual events from our youth and create a competitive squad in the team race,” – Aleksei Ivanov, director of Minsk Cycling Club, commented on the invitation of the Russian specialist.
