On Thursday, July 7, a 50 km mixed relay was held in the Great Stone Industrial Park within Belarus Road National Championships.
Seven teams made up of three men and three women toed the starting line. The men's trios started first. They had to ride 25 km (2 laps of 12.5 km) along the route of yesterday's ITT and pass the baton to the women, who had to ride the same distance.
With a clear advantage, the victory was won by the national team of Belarus, which was ahead of its closest rivals by almost two minutes. The men's team of Minsk Cycling Club was represented by Yauhen Sobal and Mark Hrynkevich, who were accompanied by Raman Ramanau. The women's trio consisted entirely of racers from the capital's club – Hanna Tserakh, Nastassia Kiptsikava and Iryna Chuyankova. The time of the winners – 1:02.48. The average speed at the distance - 47.77 km/h.
The team of Brest region finished with the second result - 1:04.43. Minsk racers Dzianis Mazur, Dzianis Marchuk, Taisa Naskovich and Katsiaryna Rusak competed for the silver medals. Aliaksandr Sychuhou and Hanna Kalashnikava also contributed to medals winning.
The third place in the stubborn struggle with the Russian national team was won by the riders of the city of Minsk. At the finish line, the teams were separated by only one second. All three riders of the men's trio represented Minsk Cycling Club - Aliaksei Shnyrko, Siarhei Shauchenka, Siarhei Papok. The capital team delegated Alina Abramenko and Anhelina Krasko to the women's team, Hanna Kavaliova assisted them. The time of the bronze medalists is 1:04.47.
