The racer of Minsk Cycling Club women's team Hanna Tserakh received an invitation to participate in the debut season of the UCI Champions Track League.
UCI Champions League is a new grand project under the auspices of the Union Cycliste Internationale (International Cyclist Union), designed to draw additional attention to track cycling and take its popularity to a whole new level..
The debut season of the Champions League will consist of five stages, which will be held in four countries. The first stage on November 5 will be hosted by the Spanish Majorca, the second stage will be held on November 27 in the Lithuanian Panevezys. The third and fourth stages are entrusted to Great Britain - on December 3 and 4 the competition will be held in London. The series will end on December 11 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The Champions League will be attended by 72 world's strongest track cyclists representing 30 countries: 36 men and 36 women. To assess the level of the competition, it is enough to say that its participants have 29 Olympic medals (including 10 gold), as well as 63 world champion titles.
It is very difficult to get an invitation to this top company. The only representative of Belarus who received such an honor was Hanna Tserakh, the athlete of Minsk Cycling Club women's team. Largely due to her successful performance at the recent World Championships in Roubaix, France, where our racer took fifth place in scratch.
