Belarusian cyclist Alena Amialiusik, after eight years in the Canyon/SRAM team, joined UAE Team ADQ, signing a contract for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

“I really like the project behind the team, and we will have a very strong and talented group of riders. I see the team as very balanced because we have very good climbers, sprinters and all-rounders and sure we can do together great things on the road. This is a very important but also very exciting step in my career. I do have a lot of experience and I really want to share it with my new teammates, and I'm looking forward to learning also from them. UAE Team ADQ is a new project that goes far beyond sport, and I love it! As female athlete we can show by our own example that there are no limits and we can do any sport, any job or whatever we want without any restrictions. We are strongly showing and changing the image of women in sport”, said Alena.

UAE Team ADQ General Manager Rubens Bertogliati commented on the transfer of the Belarusian to the team: “Alena had a beautiful Tour de France Femmes. I saw her always very active, always able to get into the right breakaway. In a team it's not just the leaders that count, but riders with her characteristics and strong experience, who know how to move in the race and who with their actions allow the leaders to be able to stay calm in the peloton in the early moment of the races. She is a rider we rely on a lot and with the great experience she has gained, we think she can share a lot with all the other girls in our team”.

This season, Alena Amialiusik took third place in Tour de France fourth stage, also getting into the top 20 of the stage overall standings.

In addition to the Belarusian UAE Team ADQ has already confirmed contracts with a number of riders for the next season, including Slovenian Eugenia Bujak, Italians Chiara Consonni, Silvia Perisco, Sofia Bertizzolo and Russian Alena Ivanchenko.
