Minsk-Arena Velodrome hosted the country's Open Track Cycling championship in Olympic disciplines, in which, in addition to Belarusian athletes, participated representatives of Russia.
In the team pursuit with a score of 4:28.346 sec. the victory was won by the Belarusian team consisting of Nastassia Kiptsikava, Hanna Tserakh, Taisa Naskovich and Iryna Chuyankova. The U-23 team (Alina Abramenko, Anhelina Krasko, Katsiaryna Rusak, Diana Vasilyeva ) lost almost nine seconds to the winners in the final. The third place was taken by the junior national team (Alina Karotkina, Kseniya Shynkarenka, Palina Konrad, Yuliya Usava).
Representatives of the Belarusian national team Dzianis Mazur, Dzianis Marchuk, Mark Hrynkevich, Artur Kiryevich, Yauheni Karaliok climbed to the top step of the podium in the men's team race. The result of the winners was 4:04.128 sec. The second result was shown by the team of Gomel region consisting of Raman Tsishkou, Raman Ramanau, Yauheni Akhramenka and Aliaksei Shmantsar. "Bronze" was won by Minsk quartet, which was represented by Aliaksei Shnyrko, Siarhei Shauchenka, Siarhei Papok and Vasili Bialiauski.
In the women's team sprint, the national team of the Russian Federation was the fastest. The team from Brest region (Natalya Shepetyuk, Valeryia Stsepanets, Yuliya Manets, Tatsiana Kushchankova ) won a silver medal.
In the men's team sprint, Belarusians also took second place. Minsk trio consisting of Anton Konan, Aliaksei Shnyrko and Aleksey Volchek lost in the final to the national team of Russia.
In the women's individual sprint, the only representative of Belarus, Yuliya Manets, took seventh place. The first six were left for athletes from Russia.
But among men, the winner was Artsiom Zaitsau. The Belarusian showed the fourth time in qualifying and managed to reach the final, where he was stronger than the Russian Danila Burlakov.
A stubborn struggle for victory unfolded in the women's omnium. Hanna Tserakh from Minsk managed to snatch victory only at the last finish, only one point ahead of NAstassia Kiptsikava from Vitebsk region. The third place was taken by Taisa Naskovich (Brest region).
In the men's omnium, the leader of the national team Yauheni Karaliok was the strongest, with 126 points. Raman Ramanau (Gomel region) took second place thanks to the final sprint. And the third step of the pedestal was left for Artur Kiryevich from Brest.
In the women's keirin, Belarusians Yuliya Manets and Dziyana Subbotsina took sixth and seventh places respectively in the final classification.
In the men's keirin, the representatives of Belarus were also left without medals. The best of our riders was Artsiom Zaitsau, who took fifth place.
Madison race closed the program. Among women there was no equal to tandem Hanna Tserakh - Nastassia Kiptikova, who won a landslide victory with 55 points. The duo of Taisa Noskovich and Iryna Chuyankova finished the race in second place (33 points). Alina Abramenko and Katsiaryna Rusak (24) closed the top three.
In the men's madison, the tandem Yauheni Karaliok - Dzianis Mazur, who scored 52 points, was out of competition. Gomel duo Raman Tsishkou - Raman Ramanau took second place (37 points). And in the third position were Dzianis Marchuk and Mark Hrynkevich (30).
