Minsk Cycling Club to be represented by eight riders at Elite European Championships

The UEC Track Elite European Championships run from the 15th – 19th October in the French Caribbean Velodrome in Guadeloupe. Minsk Cycling Club will be represented at this event by eight riders.

The best European track cyclists have already started official trainings at the open concrete track of the Amedee Detraux velodrome in Baie-Mahault.

Siarhei Papok, Aleh Ahyievich, Raman Ramanau and Raman Tsishkou will take part in the Team Pursuit. This event begins with qualifications on Wednesday October 15.

On October 16 the club sprinters will seize the baton. In the Team Sprint Minsk Cycling Club will be represented by the 6-time national record holders Evgeni Veremchuk, Artsiom Zaitsau, Uladzislau Novik.

In the individual events big expectations are associated with the  undisputed leader of Minsk Cycling Club, experienced Tatsiana Sharakava, who will race in the Women’s Omnium. In the Men’s Omnium Belarus will be represented by Raman Tsishkou.

The extensive program is waiting for Ahyievich and Ramanau. Besides of the Team Pursuit Aleh will compete in the four more events: Individual Pursuit, Scratch, Points Race and Madison; Raman will participate in the Scratch, Points Race and Madison.

In the individual sprint events Uladzisalu Novik will represent the club in the Sprint and Keirin. In the Sprint he will be accompanied by Evgeni Veremchuk, in the Keirin – by Artsiom Zaitsau.
